Mogelijkheid collectie (Possibility Collection)
Don Zweedijk graduated in product design from HKU in 2015 with the Possibility Collection. The furniture from the collection is made in a sheltered metal workshop where people with poor employment prospects work. They can use the experience that they gain here to eventually move on to paid employment. You’ll find a small selection from the collection in the gallery, read more about this on the Possibility collection site.
WIRE SERIES
The Wire series is a collection of furniture that designer Don Zweedijk considers to be minimalist. He feels that it’s all about the sleekest construction and perfect proportions. He reaches the essence of a design by looking at what’s really needed and then adding little or nothing.
The Wire cabinet is the first piece of furniture in the range. The bookcase consists of steel shelves sunk into a wooden frame, and the whole piece is held together by a subtle steel wire.
The particularly high finish and blind mounting on the wall make the bookcase a truly special object in the home.
WIRE SERIES
The entire Wire series can be combined with the available materials.
Delivery time is 6 weeks.
The furniture can optionally be delivered and installed.

ABOUT THE STUDIO
Studio Don is a self-producing design studio that focuses on craftsmanship and creativity. The studio was established by Don Zweedijk in 2006 in Vreeland. After two moves, the workshop has since expanded to 350 m2 and is now located in Westbroek, near Utrecht. We can create all the steel and wood designs in our own workshop.
COMMISSION & CREATION
After a good discussion, a design drawing will be made along with the required steel samples. It’s important to us that we achieve a joint design for this, on which both the studio and the client can agree. A price quotation can be made once the design is approved.
Because the production is done in our own workshop, we can get started quickly. This also means that an interim inspection is possible, and any changes can be quickly implemented.
Focusing on possibilities rather than restrictions, enabled us to create these pieces of furniture.
